Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina voiced her disapproval of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party‍‍`s (BNP) conduct during Ramadan, alleging that they hosted 1000 iftar parties but did not share them with the people. Speaking at her official residence Ganabhaban on Thursday morning, she exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings with party members, foreign diplomats, civil and military officials, and citizens from all walks of life, where she also addressed the political landscape.

In her remarks, Prime Minister Hasina rebuked BNP‍‍`s past actions and current political tactics, stating, "BNP had 1000 iftar parties during Ramadan and ate them themselves. Awami League has distributed iftar items among the people." She emphasized the stark contrast between the actions of Awami League and BNP, asserting that the former consistently strives to benefit the nation while the latter merely benefits itself.

During the Eid greetings exchange, Prime Minister Hasina commended Awami League leaders and workers for prioritizing the distribution of iftar among the public over hosting iftar parties. She reiterated her administration‍‍`s commitment to fulfilling the basic needs of the citizens, including food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthcare, in alignment with the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Eid greetings ceremony at Ganabhaban was attended by Sheikh Rehana, the youngest daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Prime Minister‍‍`s younger sister, as well as Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, among others.
