Twenty-five people were killed as a bus carrying a wedding party of nearly 50 persons fell into a gorge in north Indian state Uttarakhand`s Pauri Garhwal district on Tuesday.
A total of 21 passengers were rescued by the state disaster response force and police following an overnight operation at the spot of accident near Simdi village, reports ANI.
Twenty-five people were killed in the Pauri Garwhal bus accident that took place around 7:30pm on Tuesday in Birokhal area of Dhumakot. Police and State Disaster Force rescued 21 people overnight and the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals," Uttarakhand state police chief Ashok Kumar said.
