Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at some places over the country," said a met Office forecast here.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country`s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Feni of Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 25.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati of Chattogram division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 41 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet of Sylhet division.
The sun sets at 06.47pm today and rises at 05.23am tomorrow in the capital.
