On Thursday (December 16), a train ploughed into a car at a level crossing in the capital killing a woman and her two-year old son.
Mahmuda Akter Mitu (26) and her son Faiz Ahmed (2) died on spot in the crash at a level-crossing in the capital’s Dakshinkhan early Thursday morning.
The Dhaka-bound Nilsagar Express rammed into the vehicle at around 5:00 am, Sub-inspector (SI) Nur Mohammad of Dhaka Railway police station confirmed the matter to media.
The deceased's husband who was driving the mircrobus sustained severe injuries, along their two daughters. They were rushed to a hospital by the locals.
