A Tati League leader named Abdur Rahman Kakon (30) was stabbed to death by miscreants in Barandi Mollahpara graveyard area of Jashore city.
The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Wednesday (November 17). Kotwali Model Police Officer In-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam has confirmed the matter to the press.
Tajul Islam said that there are several cases against Kakon in the police station. The motive behind the killing could be enmity. Police are working to arrest those involved in the incident.
The deceased Kakan is a former convener of Jashore District Tati League. His body has been kept in the hospital morgue.
