The Supreme Court (SC) is set to go on a 16-day-long vacation from Sunday (October 3), leaving 10 vacation benches of the High Court Division to deal with urgent matters.
According to an order from Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain posted on the Supreme Court website, the 10 vacation benches include six dual benches and four single benches that will carry out the judicial duties of the SC until the end of the vacation period on October 18.
The benches have been constituted with specific judicial jurisdiction, the notice added.
The Supreme Court is expected to resume regular operations on October 19.
