Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina orders preparations for potential middle east war

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued directives for advanced preparations to address any potential escalation of tensions in the Middle East, instructing all relevant ministries to closely monitor the situation.

The directive came during a Cabinet meeting convened at the Prime Minister‍‍`s Office (PMO) on Wednesday (April 17). Following the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain briefed reporters at the Secretariat, confirming the Prime Minister‍‍`s instructions.

During the briefing, Hossain stated, "The Prime Minister has instructed the concerned ministries to ready themselves for possible repercussions arising from the escalating tensions in the Middle East. In the event of a prolonged conflict, preparations should be made to effectively manage and respond to the situation. It is imperative to remain vigilant and monitor the developments closely."

He further elaborated, "In the event of an extended conflict, the potential impacts on various sectors should be assessed, and contingency plans should be formulated accordingly. Each sector is urged to prepare measures within their purview. Additionally, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to devise strategies to address potential fluctuations in fuel prices resulting from any crisis."
