Exclaiming that the ruling government does not want social harmony, Mirza Abbas, one of the members of the BNP's standing committee, said, "The recent communal incidents are not communal riots, they are political conspiracies. This is a political conspiracy to shut people's voices."
He also claimed that the government has failed to maintain social harmony.
He made the remarks at a human chain organized by the Krishak Dal in front of the National Press Club on Monday (October 25). The human chain was organized to protest price hike of essential commodities in the country.
