Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered that there will be load shedding in the rural areas while this might be switched to the urban areas if necessary to ensure the uninterrupted irrigation.
The Prime Minister promoted this instruction to the concerned parties in the Cabinet meeting on Monday to ensure uninterrupted power supply to agricultural land in the current season.
The Prime Minister said, "The people of the village should not suffer."
Insights from a high-level source within the cabinet revealed this directive following a cabinet meeting held on Monday. The meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, convened at the Prime Minister`s office with the attendance of nearly all Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
