Government has taken various steps to develop the police, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
Government’s aim is to well-train the police, he said.
The minister came up with the remark while inaugurating the foundation training of trainee recruit constable 2021 batch at Bangladesh Police Academy in Sharda of Rajshahi on Sunday.
“Bangladesh’s police is now close to the global standard. Our aim is to build a well-trained police force. The goal will be implemented in near future,” the minister said.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed said, “Police personnel have to deploy themselves in the workplace with service mind. The have to take the vow both in mind and belief. Because, joining police is not a job, it’s a service. The countrymen must be served indiscriminately always with due sincerity.”
