The mayor came up with the remarks while opening digital cattle market in the capital on Sunday.

“Store system has been introduced this year. When the customers receive their share, money will be released through Bangladesh Bank. Cattles can be bought online. On booking, meats will be delivered at home. We fixed a target of one thousand cows,” Atiqul Islam said.

“As many as 27 thousand cattle were sold out last year in online platform. This year, the target is one lakh. If we can sell one lakh animals, at least 5 lakh people will not get to cattle market,” Atiqul furthered.
