20 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (July 19) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (July 20).
Of the 20 deaths, four were coronavirus positive and 16 died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he said.
Of the dead, eight were in Rajshahi district, two in Chapainawabganj, five in Natore, two in Naogaon and three in Pabna, he added.
With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 349 in 20 days of this month.
A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
