With three Bangladeshi pacers set to face the gavel on December 19, the question of who will represent Bangladesh in the upcoming IPL season hangs in the balance, report agencies.
Despite the withdrawal of Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das, who were part of the last IPL, three prominent Bangladeshi pacers — Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam — stand as potential candidates for the upcoming IPL season.
The base prices for these three pacers have been disclosed by the IPL authority. Teams vying for Mustafizur`s services will need to allocate a minimum of INR 2 crores, while Taskin comes with a base price of INR 75 lacs, and Shoriful`s services start at INR 50 lacs.
Mustafizur and Shoriful are set to be part of Bangladesh’s tour of New Zealand, featuring three ODIs and three T20Is. However, Taskin has been grappling with an injury in recent times.
