Amar Bangladesh Party, AB Party, held a pro-democracy precession on Saturday afternoon which paraded through the streets of Shegun Bagicha, Bijoy Nagar and Naya Paltan of the capital.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Minar, a retired army major and Joint Convenor of the AB Party, said that this lopsided election would push the country off democratic track. None except the looters and plunderers would take part or vote in this farcical election. We, therefore, ask the electorates to reject this election drama in national interest.

Mojibur Rahman Monju, Member Secretary of AB Party, said that this election does not have any credible choice for the voters to choose their preferred candidates. Sheikh Hasina is alone deciding who would be standing as both official ruling party candidates and unofficials one. It is as if everything else but an election. The Awami League grassroots even been betrayed by their leadership due to gross violation of their own party constitution and election nomination board.

Asaduzzaman Fuaad, a barrister-at-law and Joint Member Secretary of the AB Party spoke at the occasion.
