Jatiya Party will start selling nomination forms from tomorrow for the upcoming January 7 national polls.
The JP chairman`s Banani office will start selling the nomination papers at 11:00 pm, the party announced in a release on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, Jatiya Party Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu said their party will give candidates in 300 seats in the upcoming 12th national elections.
"There is no dispute in Jatiya Party. The party is making all kinds of preparations to join the polls," he told journalists.
About Jatiya Party chief patron Raushan Ershad`s meeting with President Mohammed Shahabuddin, he said Raushan Ershad is the patron of the party and she has no authority to take party decisions.
"The Jatiya Party chairman has the jurisdiction only to take party decisions. I spoke to Raushan Ershad about her letter sent to the Election Commission. The final decision over participation in the elections will be announced very soon," he said.
The Jatiya Party secretary general said a favourable environment for the polls could be created if the government took an initiative to hold dialogue with all political parties.
The Jatiya Party will take a decision only when a favourable environment is created for the elections, he said, adding that dialogue can resolve any problem.
