Two nomination papers of Ashraful Hossain Alam alias Hero Alam submitted for by-polls in Bogura-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) and Bogura-6 (sadar) have been cancelled.
District Returning Officer, also Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saiful Islam confirmed the matter on Sunday.
He said, “Dissonance was found in the one percent voter list submitted by Asharaful Hossain Alam alias Hero Alam. His nomination papers were canceled due to lack of support from some voters in the list.”
Meanwhile, Hero Alam said, “I didn’t make the same mistake I did last time. This time, I didn’t make any single mistake. Even then, my nominations have been cancelled. I will go to Dhaka tonight and file a writ petition in this regard next day.”
