BNP is doomed after losing public trust: Khalid

State Minister of Shipping and Former Organizing Secretary of Awami League Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury

State Minister of Shipping and former organizing secretary of Awami League Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that people do not have confidence in the corrupt and leaderless BNP.

He said this at a rally organized to inaugurate the ferry service at the land port at Roumari on Wednesday afternoon.

Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said, "BNP have said that America will give sanctions whereas, now the Prime Minister attends a dinner at Biden‍‍`s invitation in that country. And, what is the position of BNP? BNP Chairperson is now in the ICU at Evercare Hospital. Gradually, BNP is getting doomed".

“No conspiracy will work. The people of the country will once again make Sheikh Hasina the prime minister by voting for ‍‍`boat‍‍` in the next election. There is no leadership in Bangladesh except for Sheikh Hasina‍‍`s".

He said, "The legacy of Bangabandhu- his daughter Sheikh Hasina today is on the highway of development. Bangladesh has now built the Padma Bridge with its own funding. Bangladesh now has 4 lanes from Rangpur to Dhaka, railway line from Dhaka to Chilmari, railway line to Cox‍‍`s Bazar, Matarbari seaport, Raumari Naval Port. All these has been achieved by the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina".

"The Prime Minister said in 2016 that the ferry will be launched in Chilmari. If there was no COVID situation and economic crisis in the country, the ferry would have been launched here long ago", he added.

At that time, calling on the local people including the young generation to vote for the ‍‍`boat‍‍`, a symbol of development and achievement, he said, "Vote for boat to continue development. You people know what to do”.

Under the leadsrship of BIWTA Chairman Arif Ahmed Mostafa, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain, Additional Secretary BIWTC Chairman SM Ferdous Alam, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Arif, District Police Superintendent Al Asad spoke at the program.
