Protesters visit Narsingdi over

A week after the physical and verbal assault of a young woman at Narsingdi Railway Station for wearing "indecent clothes", some 20 men and women visited the spot of the incident on Friday, reports The Daily Star.

They went to the spot from Dhaka in the morning, Trishya Nastaran, president of Agni Foundation.

On May 20, a young woman was physically assaulted by some men and women at Narsingdi Railway Station for wearing what they claimed "indecent clothes".

"To stand by the side of the victim, we visited the spot as a reaction, as part of our protest," she said.

She added that their diverse physical presence on this area is their protest.

The 20 people who visited the spot are Trishya, Surobee, Annie, Anwar, Arnab, Nuva, Momo, Aparajita, Samiha, Sanjana, Smita, Lakshmi, Antara, Mishu, Promi, Jisa, Nisha, Biju, Iffat, and Neel, who only revealed their first names.
