Bangladesh will observe mourning day for Palestine

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered prayers for Palestinians in all mosques in Bangladesh next Friday. She said that Bangladesh is always on the side of Palestine.

She said this during a courtesy meeting with the ambassadors of 14 countries belonging to the Alliance of Muslim Countries and IC at Ganabhaban on Wednesday night. After the meeting, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen briefed the journalists.

The Foreign Secretary said that the Prime Minister condemned the Israeli attack by calling for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza during the courtesy meeting.

The head of government urged world leaders to identify the root of this problem and take action.

Ambassadors of Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Qatar, Libya, Turkey, Iran, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman, Indonesia and Egypt participated in the meeting with the Prime Minister.

Earlier, on Wednesday evening, the Prime Minister ordered Health Minister Zahid Maleque to urgently send medical supplies including medicines to the Palestinian hospitals.
