Law enforcers fearing of election-time sabotage

Ahead of the 12th national election scheduled to be held on January 7 next year, law enforcers are fearing of more election-time sabotages.

The officials were also said they were prepared to face any kind of incident.

These thoughts were expressed by concerned officials after a view exchange meeting between the field administration officials and the law enforcement forces of Dhaka region that held on Thursday (December 21) at Election Commission Auditorium in the city’s Agargaon area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman stated, "There is a possibility of additional sabotage in this election but Bangladesh Police is ready to face any situation.”

DMP commissiuoner also said, "Some political parties have created sabotage after October 28. But now, The perpetrators of all types of sabotage have been found and taken into custody. In order to stop rail sabotage, Ansar soldiers have already received orders.

Meanwhile, regarding the delivery of ballots in the morning, DMP Commissioner told, since the Election Commission has given instructions in this regard, there will be maximum cooperation from law enforcement agencies.
