The White House revealed Saturday night that President Biden has plans to visit hurricane damage in two regions that have been severely impacted: Puerto Rico on Monday and Florida on Wednesday.
The president, who will be accompanied by first lady Jill Biden, has frequently discussed his desire to travel to each region affected by the disasters, first when Hurricane Fiona slammed Puerto Rico about two weeks ago and more recently as Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida.
“It’s not just a crisis for Florida. This is an American crisis. We’re all in this together,” Biden said in remarks. “I just want the people of Florida to know: We see what you’re going through and we’re with you.”
