Prof Md Nurul Alam, acting pro-vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, has been appointed as the vice chancellor of the institution.
A notification from the Education Ministry signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahmudul Alam was issued on Tuesday in this regard.
He was appointed in the post for the next four years, said the notice.
Earlier on May 1 this year, he was assigned as the acting VC of the university.
