Police have arrested Nazmul Hossain, a union council member, after a video footage where two students were seen tied to a tree and tortured in public went viral on social media.
The young boys who took selfie with a goat were called thieves, and then tied to a tree in public.
The incident took place in Mollabazar area of Hakimpur upazila on Friday (October 1) morning in Hakimpur of Dinajpur.
The matter was confirmed to The Report by Hakimpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khairul Basar Shamim on Monday (October 4).
