Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has urged to keep the windows and doors open for 15 minutes after going to the kitchen before lighting the gas stove.
This message was posted on the organization's Facebook page today.
They said that opening the door and window and wait for 15 minutes before lighting the kitchen stove is safe. Apart from this, the organization requested to call Titas hotline number 16496 for any need.
Earlier, on the night of April 24, the smell of gas spread in different areas of the capital including Moghbazar, Rampura, Badda, Dhanmondi. Many people panicked by the smell of this gas. At that time, Titas informed that the gas supply to industrial factories was stopped during Eid, and the smell was coming out due to the increase in gas pressure in the transmission and distribution lines. Later that morning, Titas' emergency and technical teams worked to resolve the issue.
