No forgiveness if people come under attack, says PM Sheikh Hasina

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has urged the party leaders, workers and supporters to remain alert so that anyone can create disorder and harm to the people.

The Premier made this call on Thursday afternoon at the joint meeting of the party’s secretarial board with its associated organisations held at Awami League headquarters on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.  PM Sheikh Hasima, the chief guest on that occasion, was delivering speech from her government resident of Ganabhaban.

“We have suffered much. We won’t tolerate anymore. Our party leaders and activists must be careful about their activities. The hands that target us to hit or fire, must be broken or burned,” she adds.

Warning that Awami League did not emerge on air, Sheik Hasina said BNP came out of Ziaur Rahman's uniform pocket adding that Ziaur Rahman approved the curfew system and Khaleda passed the corruption system.’

"The quality of BNP is two-corruption and murder’, she added.

Criticising the BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, the premier said, “If he is interested in politics, why does he run away? Awami League will be ousted! Awami League did not emerge on air. Awami League is not a party created in pockets like BNP, it must be remembered.”

Sheikh Hasina also said we would discuss with the British Government to bring back Tarique Rahman. The government will implement his sentence bringing him to the country.

Among others, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Abdur Rahman, Advocate Kamrul Islam, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Ahmad Hossain, BM Mozammel Haque, SM Kamal Hossain, Advocate Afzal Hossain and other editorial members were present in the joint meeting.
