The government is planning to formulate law to protect the minorities, said law minister Anisul Haque.
He was speaking to a programme held at Judicial Administration Training Institute in the capital on Sunday (October 24).
“The communal violence was plotted intending to destabilize the situation of the country. Exemplary punishment will be served to the offenders whichever party they are involved in. If attacks are carried out from personal interest, it will also be tried,” the minister said.
Anisul Huq said, “Bangladesh is marching forward with new courage. We have returned to the culture of justice.”
Referring to the role of judges the minister said, “Many cases remained stuck due to the trend of injustice. The government took initiative to remove the gridlock.”
