Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained an alleged drug peddler with 4,245 pieces of contraband yaba tablets in Bogura district on Tuesday night.
The arrested is Asim Kumar Sarker, 23, son of Badal Chandra Sarker of Kismat Gopalpur village under Sadar upazila in Gaibandha district, RAB sources said.
RAB sources said, acting on information, a team of the elite force conducted a raid
adjacent to the roadside Food Village restaurant under Sherpur upazila in Bogura district and nabbed him with the contraband drugs around 9.30 pm.
A case was recorded with Sherpur Police Station in this connection.
