Khaleda Zia's family seeks nod for her treatment abroad, again

Health condition of BNP Chairperson deteriorated last week and she was re-admitted to the capital's Evercare hospital, just a week after she was discharged from the same hospital.

Reportedly, she was shifted to the hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU) on Sunday (November 14) night.

The former prime minister's family has appealed the government once again to take her abroad for advanced treatment.

A written-letter application was submitted in this regard to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Monday (November 15) evening by her younger brother Shamim Iskander.

Khaleda Zia's lawyer Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and her Media Wing Officer Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to the media.

Along with old-age complications, the 76-year old former Prime Minister also suffers from arthritis, diabetes, dental and eye problems.
