Kader Siddique meets PM Hasina, calls it family event

In an interesting turn of events, Abdul Kader Siddique paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Friday. His family members were also with him at that time.

This happened just hours before the ruling Awami League's 22nd national council.

Confirming the development, he told an English daily that it was a family meeting. "Actually, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wished to meet my family and that is why we went to Ganabhaban today (Friday).”

But the politician said that political issues centring the next election will be discussed later on.

Well-known as Bangabir Kader Siddique, the seasoned politician and veteran freedom fighter left Awami League in 1999 to form Krishak Sramik Janata League.

With the new political platform, he started anti-Awami League politics.

As the president of his party, he joined with Oikkya Front before the eleventh national election in 2018 and participated in the poll with BNP's electoral symbol but lost the election.

Before the next election many minor parties are communicating with Awami League and the picture of Kader Siddique and Prime Minister came into the light amid this.
