State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury has installed central oxygen line at 50-bed health complex in Birol and Bochaganj of Dinajpur in a bid to avert any shortage of the lifesaving gas if the corona situation worsens further.
Bochaganj Upazila Helath and Family Planning officer Dr Abul Bashar Md Sayeduzzaman said, a Dhaka-based company Spectra International is overseeing the installation. Implantation of the pipeline is accomplished.
He expressed his optimism over conclusion of the construction within July 9.
“Considering the ongoing surge of Covid-19, the state minister took such a humanitarian initiative to overcome the peril," added Sayeduzzaman.
