Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) will become a smart organization with the aim of building a smart Bangladesh of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said State Minister or Shipping.
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury also said that there is no alternative to sports for the sound condition of body and mind. He emphasized on regular exercise that keeps the body and mind healthy.
Khalid made these remarks while addressing as the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of BIWTA Annual Sports Competition-2023 at Dhaka University Sports Ground on Friday.
Chairman of BIWTA Commodore Golam Sadeq presided over the event, among others the convener of the annual sports competition Mohammad Tariqul Hasan and member secretary Md Monsur Ali Mollah were present.
