When Pritom arrived to his in-laws` home at around 3pm, Shahtaj planned to ask for Eid salami but was surprised to see that Pritom had instead given her BDT 50,000 as Eidi. That is how the celebrations went for the newlywed actor-musician couple, Pritom Hasan and Shahtaj Monira Hashem.
The couple celebrated their first Eid together yesterday after getting married back in October of last year. Speaking about that, Shahtaj recalled, "I have been getting Eidi from Pritom since we had started dating. Whenever we would meet on Eid, he would give me Eidi. I wasn`t sure if I was going to get any after marriage but to my surprise, I did."
Shahtaj also added, "I`ve received more (amount) when we were dating, he gave me BDT 50 thousand this time. The amount however, doesn`t matter, it`s the act of it that counts. It comes from love."
Shahtaj has been residing with her mother for now at her Shyamoli residence. They spent Eid getting ready to move into their own apartment. When asked about their Eid day activities, Shahtaj said "I will visit my relatives` houses and meet my friends. I will spend time with them."
The actress added, "I don`t plan on doing anything else in this weather, other than spend some time by ourselves."
