The ruling party will accept the Election Commission's (EC) decision on the deployment of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the upcoming general elections, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday.
"We will accept what the Commission can do according to its capacity. We want the use of EVM in all 300 seats in the next elections," he told a warm cloth distribution ceremony, organised by Dhaka North City unit of Awami League, on Kachukhet road adjacent to Mirpur-10 Square in the capital.
Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said that the BNP would never succeed in the movement and elections if it cannot come out of Tareque Rahman’s directives.
