Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that national and international conspiracies are going on to destroy the country's development and progress.
Sheikh Hasina said these things when the top leaders of Awami League went to congratulate the Prime Minister on the occasion of her 43rd Homecoming Day at her official residence Ganabhaban.
Highlighting the contribution of Awami League to raise awareness about the right to vote, the president of the party said, "When there was the right to vote and democracy in this country? After 1975, the culture of stealing votes was developed. However, only Awami League has worked to make people aware of the right to vote by making elections popular through various reforms."
He also said, “Preparation of accurate voter list with photo from transparent ballot box and National ID card; everything was done through Awami League. Still, if someone comes to give us the teaching of voting rights and democracy; there is really nothing more to say about them.”
Awami League president said, "Vote robbers now talk about democracy and the right to vote." An illegitimate party talk about right and democracy. We came to power by gaining the trust of the people. That trust of people is our only strength. The people of the country are the only friends of Awami League, everyone should remember this."
Sheikh Hasina also said, "After returning from exile, I found countless people of this country by my side, rather than any relatives. Since then the people and the party are my family.”
