An “Anabil Paribahan” bus parked on the Dhaka-Tangail highway was set on fire in Bason Police Station area of Gazipur city on Monday
The incident happened in front of Bhawal Badre Alam Govt College around 8:15pm on Monday.
Konabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge AK Ashraful Islam confirmed the matter.
Quoting eyewitnesses, he said around 8:15pm, eight to 10 miscreants, poured petrol on the bus and set it on fire.
Although locals managed to bring the fire under control immediately, certain parts of the bus were damaged, OC Ashraful said.
