Cyclone Mocha to hit Myanmar mainly

Cyclone Mocha is now crossing the coast of Cox's Bazar and Myanmar. Bangladesh is not in the same risk as before.

Director of Met Dept. Azizur Rahman told the online news media, "'Cyclone Mocha' will hit Myanmar. There is no previous risk for Bangladesh. It will cross the surface by 50 to 60 kilometers South of Teknaf." 

However, this meteorologist raised concerned that a terrible situation may arise for St. Martin and Teknaf while 'Mocha" crossing the surface of Bangladesh. He said, "The most dangerous time for St. Martin and Teknaf is between 12 pm to 3 pm. During this time, Mocha will cross the surface of Bangladesh. Due to its impact, the low-lying areas of St. Martin and Teknaf may be flooded with a high tide of more than 12 feet."

The cyclone was 250 km south and south-west of Cox's Bazar sea port at 9 am today. It may move further north and north-east and cross the coast of Cox's Bazar and North-Myanmar by this afternoon near Sittwe, Myanmar.
