Shama Rahman Sinha, 37, wife of Fahim Sinha, the director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is critically injured as a fire broke out in a 12-storey residential building at Gulshan-2 in the capital on Sunday.
Fahim Sinha and his family were the resident of the 12th floor of that building.
When the fire broke out, Shama sent her three children and mother-in-law downstairs in the lift. However, she could not save herself.
Later the lift came back and she got on the lift but due to a power failure the lift stopped.
She got out of the elevator somehow and jumped into the swimming pool from seventh floor.
Shama Rahman Sinha, is now admitted to the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery with critical injuries.
