Five people were killed in a gun battle between two criminal gangs in a Rohingya refugee camp in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar earlier today.
Among them, four deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain, Md Hamim, Nazibullah, and Nurul Amin.
According to Amir Zafar, commanding officer of Armed Police Battalion-8, five people were killed in a gunfight between the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) around 6:15 a.m. at Balukhali camp-8.
"We came to know that the deceased were members of ARSA. Three of them died on the spot while two others were declared dead at a local hospital," he said.
