The metro rail is scheduled to be inaugurated on December 28 by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Following it's inauguration, the premier will be the first passenger to purchase tickets of the elevated metro rail.
The matter was revealed by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Chairman ABM Amin Ullah Nuri on Wednesday.
For security purposess, only the prime minister and the VVIP guests will board the metro rail on the inauguration day.
Therefore, the metro rail services will be open for general people on December 29, he added.
