A complaint was filed today in a Chattogram court against eight people, including the leader of a union parishad, for threatening US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas.
According to court authorities, MA Hashem, president of the Bangladesh chapter of International Human Rights (IHRC), filed the case with the Chattogram Chief Metropolitan Magistrate`s Court.
MA Hashem is also a former Central Chhatra Dal leader.
The accused are Chambal union chairman Mujibul Haque Chowdhury of Banshkhali upazila, union Awami League convener Faridul Alam of Maheshkhali upazila AL, Iftekhar Uddin Babu, Sazzad, Ehsan, Farhad, Nasir, and Saiful.
