Two historic aircraft collide at Veterans Day show in Dallas

During a Dallas air show on Saturday, two historic military aircraft clashed and crashed, exploding into a ball of flames and blowing black smoke into the air. It was not disclosed how many people were on board.

Nearly 10 miles (16 kilometers) outside the city‍‍`s center, at the Dallas Executive Airport, emergency crews rushed to the crash site. The jets‍‍` wreckage was seen in a grassy area inside the airport‍‍`s perimeter in news footage from the incident. There were no injuries among those on the ground, a news agency reported.

Officials still did not want to disclose about the number of deaths, but Hank Coates, president of the company that put on the airshow, said one of the planes, a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber, typically has a crew of four to five people. The other, a P-63 Kingcobra fighter plane, has a single pilot.

A team of National Transportation Safety Board investigators will arrive at the scene of the crash on Sunday.
