Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds are expected in many areas of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, a few regions within the Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions may experience similar weather, with isolated hailstorms possible, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

A mild to moderate heatwave is currently affecting the Khulna and Barisal divisions, along with the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari. This heatwave may subside in some areas within the next 24 hours, based on the latest bulletin from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, valid from 9 am on Monday.

A low-pressure area is anticipated to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas within the next 48 hours, potentially intensifying afterwards.

On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded in the country was 38.3 degrees Celsius in Mongla. The lowest temperature on Monday was noted at 20.8 degrees Celsius in Saidpur.

Sandwip recorded the highest rainfall, with 71mm, in the 24 hours leading up to 6 am.

Day and night temperatures are expected to fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, while temperatures in other parts of the country are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
