Royal Enfield motorcycle is coming to the market of Bangladesh after ending many speculations. Local manufacturer Ifad Motors will start selling the 350cc model of Royal Enfield from July. The company is currently looking for dealers across the country.
Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor – these four models will be manufactured locally. The price of these will depend on the exchange rate, said Taskin Ahmed, director of Ifad Group.
He said, "We will try to keep the price as low as possible".
On September 7, the Ministry of Home Affairs allowed the movement of motorcycles up to 375 cc (engine capacity). Then this decision of the government was welcomed by the motorcycle importing and manufacturing companies. Earlier, motorcycles with engine capacity of more than 165 cc were not allowed in the country market.
