A chemical warehouse in Old Dhaka was set on fire. The incident took place at Bongshal area in the capital’s Old Dhaka area on Monday (October 11). Multiple firefighting units are battling to douse the fire.
Central Fire Service duty officer Rasel Shikdar confirmed the matter to TheReport.live.
“Two units of the fire service rushed to the sport after the inferno took place at a Bongshal chemical warehouse. Firefighters are giving hectic efforts to bring the fire to control as a huge amount of inflammable substances there,” he said.
Initially, the origin of the fire could not be known while no casualty was reported immediately, he said.
Earlier on April 22 this year, another fire broke out at the ground floor of a residential building at Armanitola around 3:15am killing at least 4 people.
