Metro rail now stops at Karwan Bazar-Shahbagh stations

On the last day of the year, Shahbagh and Karwan Bazar stations of Metrorail started. With this, 16 stations of the Metrorail are opened.

The first metro train arrived at Karwan Bazar station from Diabari, Uttara at 8:00 am on Sunday.

Earlier, Dhaka University and Bijoy Sarani stations were opened as the 13th and 14th stations from December 13.

Even though all the stations are operational from today, trains from Agargaon to Motijheel will run from 7.10 am to 11.30 pm as before. In the next three months, trains in this section will run till night like Diabari-Agargaon section.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the metro rail section from Uttara-North station to Agargaon on December 28, 2022. Then the remaining stations were opened gradually.
