Earlier today, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, minister of information and broadcasting, said that the BNP has appeared on the field with a strategy to cause unrest across the nation.
According to him, the BNP has "organized several programmes with an aim of causing pandemonium throughout the nation" by attacking police and innocent pedestrians and vandalizing people's property.
The minister continued by saying that the BNP has begun to produce a fresh version of the instability that the party unleashed on the country in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Dr. Hasan expressed such in the ministry's conference room in the capital.
He added that the BNP engages in "politics of killing." From 2013 to 2015, he said, they have been responsible for the deaths of many innocents due to petrol bombs and arson assaults.
The minister said that in the past three to four decades, no other group had ever used assassination to further their political goals like the BNP had. He also said the BNP's goal is to increase the number of casualties in the country by sowing chaos everywhere.
Speaking on the cost of gasoline, Hasan recently reported that prices had risen once again on international markets. However, he noted that the prime minister had lowered the price of petrol out of compassion for ordinary people, and bus fares have also been reduced.
Nonetheless, he said that BNP officials condemned the action.
