Inoculation of coronavirus vaccine on RMG workers in Gazipur is going to kick off Sunday without any registration. The workers will have to bring office ID and NID cards to get the shot.
Gazipur District Civil Surgeon Doctor Khairuzzaman confirmed the matter to media on Saturday (July 17).
“The vaccination drive will continue from 9am to 5pm on Sunday (July 18). Workers above 18 years will have to bring national identity card to get the shot,” Khairuzzaman said.
“On the stipulated day, workers of four garment factories will get the jab. This is the initial move to bring all RMG workers under immunisation. Everyone will be given by rotation,” the civil surgeon furthered.
Urging all to be aware of the deadly virus and follow the safety guidelines he said, necessary number of doses wouldl be sent from Dhaka.
As many as 292 people have died of novel coronavirus in Gazipur with 10 fatalities in last 24 hours. During the same period a total of 138 people were tested Covid positive taking the caseload at 15 thousand 393.
