Gas line suspended in the capital's Jatrabari for 24 hours

On Tuesday (September 14), gas supply will be suspended in the capital’s north Jatrabari Madrasa road from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and gas pressure will remain low during the same period in the neighbouring areas.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited disclosed the information on Monday (September 13) night in a press release.

The suspension is due to a pipeline replacement work, mentioned Titas authorities in a press release. Thus, pressure will also be low in the surrounding areas as well.

Apologizing  to customers for the temporary inconvenience, Titas authorities said supply will be cut off mainly for gas pipeline replacement work.

Meanwhile, a notification from the Energy and Minerals Department of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said on Monday (September 13) that gas supply to the CNG stations would be cut off for five hours from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm every day during to peak hours.

The decision comes following a virtual meeting to meet demand of power plants run on natural gas.

This rule will be effective from September 15, revealed a government circular, signed by Assistant Secretary Saima Akhter.
