The High Court (HC) granted former Dhaka University Central Students` Union (Ducsu) vice president (VP) Md Nurul Haque Nur a four week timeframe to provide an explanation over the charge of making derogatory comments about the court and judges.
He was mandated by the court to provide a written justification by upcoming February 15.
The order was passed by the bench consisting of Justices JBM Hassan and Razik-Al-Jalil after Nur`s attorney, AJ Mohammad Ali, requested an extension to provide an explanation to the bench.
Deputy Attorney General Kazi Mynul Hassan told the media that Nur needs to appear before the HC bench in-person by 10:30am on February 15.
