Eid Journey by Train: All advanced tickets for North Bengal is sold

Advance sale of train tickets has started on the occasion of Eid. However, the advance tickets of North Bengal for April, 17 sold out today within minutes of ticket sales. In particular, travelers say that there are no tickets for any train going to Rangpur Panchagarh, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Jessore, Khulna and North Bengal.

Online sale of train tickets starts from 8 am on Friday. As a result tickets are not being sold at any counter.

As train tickets are online now, the familiar crowd during Eid of ticket buyers is not seen in Kamalapur Railway station. But,  there are a handful of people who still don't know about online ticketing. As a result, they came to Kamalapur station and went around.

Dhaka Divisional Railway Manager Mohammad Shofiqur Rahman told the media that train tickets have been given online for the first time which was successfully implemented on the first day itself. Common people do not have to worry about buying tickets at all. Passengers did not have to wait overnight at the station for tickets. People can easily buy tickets online. Buying tickets online was also hassle-free. However, the trains that have the highest demand for tickets are sold out immediately. Due to the high demand for tickets for northern and western areas, tickets sold out within minutes. However, train tickets for Chittagong and Sylhet are available online.

According to railway sources, 25 thousand 778 tickets will be sold daily in the train. 15,000 tickets were sold in the first two hours today. Shohoj.com, which is in charge of selling railway tickets, is capable of selling 8,000 tickets per minute. 1 million people can visit their site every minute.

Tickets for April 18 will be sold on Saturday (April 8), tickets for April 19 on Sunday (April 9), Monday (April 10) for April 20 and Tuesday (April 11) for April 21.

Similarly, tickets for return will be sold from April 15. On the first day (April 15) tickets for April 25 will be sold, tickets for April 26 will be sold on April 16, tickets for April 27 will be sold on April 17, tickets for April 28 will be sold on April 18, tickets for April 29 will be sold on April 19 and tickets for April 20 will be sold on April 30.
